Our story began as a seed idea among three amigas raising their families on the same street in Fair Lawn in 2023 finding a passion and pride for their culture and heritage. They became aware of how thankful they were of their shared family stories and generations of sacrifices made by those before them to help them become who they are today. They decided that they wanted to bring visibility to Fair Lawn's Latino community adding to its beautiful tapestry of diversity-- from cultural understanding to the celebration of local representation.

 

In 2023, Fair Lawn celebrated their first Latin Heritage Celebration. Two years later we continue to grow and celebrate our cultural diversity as well as encourage civic engagement.

 

Through our work, we hope to encourage  solidarity within our heterogeneous Latine community,  while also celebrating the culture. We invite the entirety of the Fair Lawn community to engage and support our community-wide efforts towards an even more inclusive Fair Lawn.
